Our holiday home is the starting point for our guests for hiking and exploring the surrounding area, but also for cycling tours on the two-country route of the Euregio Rhine-Maas or the manor route on the Meuse and Niers.

We have cycling maps and a wide range of tourist information brochures available to help you plan your stay according to your individual needs.

Grieth - District of Kalkar: Former fishing village with beautiful little streets (into Limmerstrasse!) and pedestrian/bicycle ferry. This means that you can cross to the other side of the Rhine for little money. An experience in particular for families with small children, even if the other side of the Rhine does not have much to offer apart from a good fish restaurant.

Kernie's Family Park - Core Water Wonderland. Walking distance. French fries, soft ice cream and soft drinks are included in the entrance fee.

calcar – Historic downtown. Here you will find the nearest shops (discounters, bakers, etc.), but also some nice restaurants and snack bars. Check out the market square and the old mill. The beautiful "Mühlenhof Golf & Country Club" is located from Hönnepel in the direction of Niedermörmter.

Wissel – Natural swimming pool and boat rental, Wisseler Dünen. The leisure and camping park "Wisseler See" offers, among other things, opportunities for bowling and skittles. http://www.niederrhein-natouren.de offers interesting guided tours and hikes in Wissel and the surrounding area. Segway tours are also available here.

Emmerich – Rhine promenade with Katjes warehouse outlet. Embricana swimming pool. Boat trips on the Rhine are possible from here. The Dutch border runs right here. In Holland, many shops and discounters are also open on Sundays. Also interesting: The Eltenberg in Hochelten with a wide view of the Rhine Valley.

Moyland Castle- Well-known moated castle with art museum, near the 18-hole "Land Golfclub Schloss Moyland".

Anholt – biotope wildlife park - "Anholter Schweiz" bears, wolves, wild cats in spacious enclosures, a petting zoo and a beautifully landscaped lake with natural rocks and the Schweizerhaus. The Anholt moated castle is in the immediate vicinity.

rees – Rhine promenade, insider tip: From time to time, the city of Rees offers guided tours through the old underground fortifications (“casemates”). The tours are announced on the city's website.

Xanten – Römerstadt Great historic city center, worth seeing cathedral, archaeological park. At the Xanten "Südsee" there is a natural outdoor pool, restaurants, boat trips, boat rentals, mini golf, a climbing park and water skiing. A shipwreck at a depth of 12 meters invites divers to explore. On the North Sea there is also gastronomy. There are good cycling and walking paths around both lakes. KaXaWü in Xanten Wardt offers camel rides in a desert landscape.

Kevelaer - Pilgrimage town Beautiful inner city, for families with children up to about 14 years of age, the "Irrland" in Twisteden is a "must". Small entrance fee, endless possibilities. Grills are available everywhere free of charge, and ice cream, fries, drinks, etc. can be purchased at the kiosks for fair prices. Lots of water slides. If the weather is good, make sure you bring your bathing suit and towels with you.

weeze – Go-kart track Large indoor go-kart track. Every 14 days on Saturdays 90 minutes children's training for 25 EUR. Nice zoo with free entry

goch – Goch Ness indoor pool and large beautiful sauna. In summer, the natural outdoor pool can be used. The donkey farmer in Goch-Kessel offers donkey hikes. A very special kind of relaxation.

Kleve – District town Beautiful shopping street and Schwanenburg, which is well worth seeing. The tower houses a museum and can be visited. Animal park "Tiergarten Kleve". "Gelderland Draisine" trolley rides to the Dutch border. Tichelpark cinema. Indoor playground "Kleoland" for smaller children.

Arnhem – Burgerszoo Very worth seeing zoo, regardless of the weather (desert, ocean, jungle). The nature reserves "Hooge Veluwe" and "Veluwezoom" are also well worth seeing.

Nijmegen – oldest city in the Netherlands. Lots of medieval buildings and good shopping.

Gelsenkirchen – Zoom Erlebnispark Also worth seeing zoo, mostly in the open air

Kekerdom – Netherlands Starting point for tours in the Millingerwaard. Natural biotope in a bend in the Rhine with wild horses and the "Millinger Theetuin" (tea house).

Oberhausen – Centro Huge shopping center surrounded by cinema, aqua zoo, slide pool and much more…

Maasduinen – Netherlands Large national park that stretches along the border on the Dutch side.

Venlo – Netherlands The city center is located directly on the Maas. Diverse shopping opportunities. Shopping opportunities also on Sundays.

Velden – Netherlands Located near Venlo, offers the largest laser game arena in Europe with “Taurus – World”. In addition, bowling alleys and indoor mini golf.
